Prayer For the Month
When we speak God hears us, when we pray God listens. Our prayers are always answered but not always in the way we expect.
"God understands every human language.
Remaining close to him in silence is already prayer: your lips
remain closed but your heart is speaking to him. And, by the
Holy Spirit, Christ prays in you more than you can imagine."

THOUGHTS for Today
I have been thinking very much about the
central theme of the message of Jesus ...the Kingdom of God.
These thoughts come from Matthew 13.
Kingdom of God!
Kingdom of Heaven!
What do you mean Lord?
Not words that we easily use today!
The you describe it as a small seed growing
into a great tree
OR
Seeds harvested into great crops.
Then I realise Lord it is something deeper
Not a geographical territory.
But a place deep inside our being.
A territory to be continually discovered.
A relationship with you , our friends and
the world.
Help us Lord not to be just tourists
But to be true explorers
Discovering new places with us.
Thank you Lord
That we not only know the
....Hard paths
....Rocky places
....Thorny environments.
But also the deep fertile soil with its all
it’s potential.
Thank you Lord for being sovereign of the
Kingdom .
Which grows within us.

I also love this simple prayer which is
found in a number of publications. I first saw it in
Christian Meditation by James Finney. It
is from Psalm 46:10 ( NIV)
Be still and know that I am God.
Be still and know
Be still

"Prayer is a serene force at work within human
beings, stirring them up, transforming them, never allowing them
to close their eyes in the face of evil, of wars, of all that
threatens the weak of this world. From it we draw energy to wage
other struggles - to enable our loved ones to survive, to
transform the human condition, to make the earth a fit place to
live in."
