You will see comedy, you will see pathos, you will see talent, you will sing along, but you will also have a sense of fellowship which is what this evening is all about. Since last writing I have been able to secure the assistance of the best choreographer in town so our male dance troupe will be a 'sight to behold'. And talking of dancing we also now have a superb contribution from the Southfield Line Dancing Group who are promising to deliver all their 'lines'! So keep this date in your diary - you will not be disappointed! Charlene T -ooOOoo- Below is a copy of a letter received by the President of ‘Christians Together in Paignton’ from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hameln following their visit during Holy Week 2010: 12th April 2010 Dear Sir On behalf of the Christian group from Hameln and the Church Council of Munster St. Bonifatius, we would like to thank ‘Christians Together in Paignton’ very much for an unforgettable week in and about Torbay. We really enjoyed staying with our hosts, thus getting to know a bit of the English way of life, and learning about Holy Week and Easter, but also to explore a number of interesting places in the region. We wish to express our gratitude to the organisers Mrs. Christine Carter, Mrs. Judith Cunday, Mrs. Debbie Trewern and Mr. David Wotton - plenty of work was put in, and we are glad for them that all turned out so successfully. Please give our thanks to everybody else in the various churches that were involved in our visit, often in the background, and especially to Palace Avenue Methodist Church and St. Paul’s Anglican Church for receiving us in their churches and rooms. Again, this visit has proved to be a great success, and this encourages us to go on in this way. We hope to see a group of Christians from the Torbay area in Hameln in 2012 when our church and the community will celebrate the 1200th anniversary of its foundation. We, too, will do everything to make it possible for the visitors to be hosted privately, which best guarantees good relations and the understanding of our peoples. Yours sincerely, Ute Pfab (Chairman) -ooOOoo- 2B1 (www.2B1worship.org.uk) 2B1 is a group of musicians and singers who come to Palace Avenue once a month on every third Thursday. Come and join us and meet like-minded people from other churches. -ooOOoo- 09.00 on the first Saturday of the month (except July and August) at Palace Avenue.
