When we speak God hears us, when we pray God listens.  Our prayers are always answered but not always in the way we expect.  Our church is open for prayer and meditation each Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning from 10.00 to 12.00.  Whether you wish to pray or just sit in the quiet, you are welcome.  Alternatively, click to leave a message if you would like us to pray for you or a particular situation.  We will pray for you at our next prayer meeting.

"God understands every human language.  Remaining close to him in silence is already prayer: your lips remain closed but your heart is speaking to him.  And, by the Holy Spirit, Christ prays in you more than you can imagine."
Brother Roger of Taizé

Every Tuesday morning from 10.00 - 10.30 a group meets in the church to pray together. Our prayers centre on those we know of in need - the sick, the bereaved, those living through some sort of crisis in their lives - as well as including prayers for the world and for ourselves.  If you would like us to especially remember someone or something in our prayers please click to leave a message.

The format varies but many who come find this meeting a quiet oasis in the week. Sometimes there are periods of silence, at other times we listen and meditate as instrumental music or songs are played.  Prayer is led by either the minister or a church member.

Everyone is welcome and the fellowship always ends by 10.30 so that those, for whom time is precious, can get on with what needs doing! On Tuesday mornings there is nearly always a coffee morning in the Church Hall so the fellowship continues for those who can stay.

The prayer fellowship is a very real way in which we can show our concern for other members of the church family and for the needs of God's wider world. Many are grateful for this meeting, because of sickness or in some special need, the comfort of knowing that at this time every Tuesday prayers were being offered is a great comfort.

Please feel free to come whenever you can - you can even join with us just wherever you are!

"Prayer is a serene force at work within human beings, stirring them up, transforming them, never allowing them to close their eyes in the face of evil, of wars, of all that threatens the weak of this world.  From it we draw energy to wage other struggles - to enable our loved ones to survive, to transform the human condition, to make the earth a fit place to live in."
Brother Roger of Taizé
