Paignton (Palace Avenue) Methodist Church has a number of rooms which are available for hire at competitive rates when they are not in use for church activities. They are suitable for one-off events such as meetings, concerts, dinners or parties or for regular use. The available spaces include:
Church Foyer
- Facilities: Seating for up to 32 people with up to 8 tables available.
- Disabled Access.
- Includes a self-contained kitchen area which is suitable for making hot drinks etc.
- Toilet facilities (not Disabled) are available through
the church building.
Charges:
£17.50 per half day (Monday to Friday)
£20.00 per half day on Saturdays.

Outside the front entrance of our church is
also available for use with the Foyer hire but it should be
noted that -
NO tables are to be put on the area at the top of the steps
outside the front entrance of the church at any time.

Church Hall
- Facilities: Seating for up to 100 people with tables and chairs available.
- Disabled Access.
- There is a raised stage with curtains.
- A self-contained kitchen which is fitted to a very high standard and would easily cater for functions if a hot meal is required. The kitchen is situated next to the Church Hall. Click here to see pictures of the kitchen.
- Toilet facilities, including Disabled access and baby changing facilities are on this floor.
Charges:
Church Hall with Kitchen - £11.50 per hour or £82.00 per day (8
hours+)

Room One
- Facilities: Seating for up to 30 people with tables and chairs available.
- Disabled Access.
- A self-contained kitchen with hatchway access is fitted
to a very high standard and would easily cater for functions
if a hot meal is required.

- Facilities: Seating for up to 15 people on sofas and armchairs.
- No Disabled Access.
- Possible use of the kitchen on the ground floor if not
already in use.

Additional information
Our premises are available for hire from Monday to Saturday from 08.00 until 23.00. To enquire about availability and rates or to arrange to view the premises please click here to contact us.
Church Foyer, Church Hall and 'Room One' are on the ground floor.
'Room Two' and 'Room Three' are upstairs on the first floor.
Chairs, tables and cooking facilities with tableware may be available. Please enquire.
Parking is not available on the premises but there is a local authority Car Park close by together with on-street parking around the gardens at the front of the church building.
The Church Foyer is accessible for wheelchairs via a ramp from street level. Likewise access to the Church Hall, the Kitchen area and ‘Room One’ is via a ramp from street level, at the rear of the church premises. One toilet at the rear of the church premises is adapted for use by wheelchair users, and has baby changing facilities.
No alcoholic drinks may be consumed or brought
on/into the church premises.
It is against the Law to smoke in any of our buildings/premises.
Hirers are requested to make a thorough check of the premises before leaving to ensure that:
- All doors and windows are properly closed and locked.
- All lights are extinguished.
- All heating appliances are turned off.
- All gas appliances are turned off.
- The premises should be left clean and tidy ready for the next user.
- All tables and chairs should be left properly stacked.
Hirers are asked to take note of all fire exits and ensure that these remain clear of obstruction and available for immediate access at all times.
Paignton (Palace Avenue) Methodist Church reserves the right to only accept bookings from organisations and individuals whose views are sympathetic to its Christian ethos and values.
