PRAYER FOCUS

Help us, O Lover of human souls, to love our fellow men and women as you love them. Help us to love them so much, that we shall always be ready to help and always quick to forgive.  Help us to love them so much, that hatred and bitterness may no longer have any place within our hearts.  Help us to love them so much, that we shall know that we are your disciples, because we have love one for another.  All this we ask for your love’s sake.  Amen.

Please pray for those unable to share in worship with us for any reason.  These include: Hazel Haden, Gwen Snowdon, and Andrew Steel.

Please pray for Mandy Rosevear and the family as they mourn the passing of Mandy’s father.  Please remember in your prayers Mrs Ada Richardson as she goes into Torbay Hospital on Monday 20 February to continue her treatment for approximately 2 weeks.

As a Circuit this month we are praying for the congregation of Chelston, Torquay.

Prayer Request FormWe are a caring, sharing church family and we invite you to share your thoughts and concerns with us by making a Prayer Request.

Each week we are asked to especially remember the work and witness of Christians Together in Paignton affiliated churches - we remember in our prayers the Minister's and members of the churches of Paignton.

REMINDER
All notices for the boards in the foyer, and the hall, must be seen and signed by a Steward before they are displayed.

HEALTH & SAFETY
Read and digest the contents of the Fire Evacuation Notices near the Exits.  If the Fire Alarm sounds, leave by the nearest Exit and assemble in Palace Avenue Gardens.

DON'T FORGET ... the church is open every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning from 10.00 to 12.00
Please make use of this in any way you would find helpful; come and sit quietly for a few minutes; pray or ask for prayer for yourself or others. There are always people available if you would like to talk about anything at all. So, why not make a visit to Palace Avenue Methodist Church on a Monday, Tuesday and/or Wednesday morning – it might be just the ‘oasis’ you need.  Extra help is needed for the coffee mornings in the church foyer - if anyone can spare the time to help, say, once a month, this would be appreciated.  Helping with coffee mornings can be both enjoyable and rewarding.  Please contact us for details.

GREETINGS CARDS
Handmade blank Birthday and Occasions cards are now for sale in the tower road foyer, next to the book boxes.  Most cards are £1.00 each; of which 50p goes to church funds (The other 50p covers the cost of materials).

RESOURCES
In the Foyer underneath the notice board is a library of used religious books and CD's. These can be bought for 50p each or they can be borrowed and returned for free.

RECYCLING
Please continue to bring your used ink cartridges, old mobile phones and used postage stamps and put in the box on the table inside the Church Hall entrance.

SUNDAY 09.00 ALTERNATIVE SERVICES
The Sunday services for 09.00 alternatives this year will feature a charity, mission, or theme, as well as personal worship.  They will include information on featured charities, along with prayer, sometimes activities, and space to listen to God!  So do come along and experience an 09.00 alternative worship service for something different.
