PRAYER FOCUS
Almighty God, you called us to your service to save us and keep us under your
protection. Give your church the love which knows no barriers of race or
culture and strengthen us with your trust so that we may accomplish your work in
the world. This we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
Please pray
for those unable to share in worship with us for any reason. These
include: Joyce Sercombe, Gwen
Snowdon and Iris
Roughley. Ivy Lambert is currently in Torbay Hospital and Marjory Massey
is in Paignton Hospital.

Each week we are asked to especially remember the work and
witness of
Christians
Together in Paignton affiliated churches - we remember in our prayers the
Minister's
and members of the
churches of Paignton.
REMINDER
All
notices for the boards in the foyer, and the hall, must be seen and signed by a
Steward before they are displayed.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Read and digest the
contents of the Fire Evacuation Notices near the Exits. If the Fire Alarm
sounds, leave by the nearest Exit and assemble in Palace Avenue Gardens.
DON’T
FORGET….. the church is open every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning from 10.00 to 12.00
Please make use of this in any way you would find helpful; come and sit quietly
for a few minutes; pray or ask for prayer for yourself or others. There are
always people available if you would like to talk about anything at all. So, why not make a
visit to
Palace
Avenue Methodist Church on a Monday, Tuesday and/or Wednesday morning – it might be just the
‘oasis’ you need.
Extra help is needed for the coffee mornings
in the church foyer - if anyone can spare the time to help, say, once a month,
this would be appreciated. Helping with coffee mornings can be both
enjoyable and rewarding. Please
contact us for more details.
FLOWER ROTA
There is a new flower
rota in the foyer, if you would like to donate money for flowers please put your
name on the list. We also have a shortage of arrangers, anyone offering to help
would be much appreciated. Freda would also like someone to help her on a
regular basis to move pedestals and tidy up, either Friday evenings or Saturday
mornings. This is due to an unfortunate incident with a pedestal at Christmas!!
HAMELN VISIT
With about 50 friends from Hameln arriving for Holy week WE NEED YOUR HELP.
If you have a spare room and wish to show some good British Hospitality as well
as enjoying a good week of fun, food and friendship please
contact us for further information.
HELP!!
There is a desperate
need for volunteers from the congregation to help with the coffee on a Wednesday
morning in the Foyer. This is an important part of our outreach into the
community around the church. If you can help in any way please
contact us.
THANKS
The Church would like to express their sincere thanks to Mandy Rosevear for her
dedication and enthusiasm as a steward, unfortunately Mandy has had to resign
due to family commitments.
BADMINTON
On Thursday
evenings from 19.30, a badminton group play at
Goodrington Methodist Church. All levels of
players welcome to join for exercise and fun. If you are interested in
joining the group, please
contact us.
PLEASE NOTE
Evening
services (with the exception of our
Café Style Praise) will be held in the Church and not
in the Church Hall.
POSTCARDS AND GREETINGS CARDS
There are postcards of Palace
Avenue Methodist Church for sale in the Foyer. 20p each to include an
envelope.
Handmade blank Birthday
and Occasions cards are now for sale in the tower road foyer, next to the book
boxes. Most cards are £1.00 each; of which 50p goes to church funds (The
other 50p covers the cost of materials) thank you.
RECYCLING

cartridges, old mobile phones and used postage stamps and put in the box on the
table inside the rear entrance.
